Today’s photo is a variation is trikonasana on a cottage dock on a beautiful day last summer. This variation has the free hand behind the head rather than reaching toward the sky. I love this variation because it supports the neck and allows you to lean back even further. I’m looking forward to days like this, aren’t you?
Today’s photo is a picture in honour of Valentine’s Day yesterday. A deep back bend is a HUGE heart opener. This is urdhva dhanurasana with straight legs. This is probably the best “Valentine’s” pose I could imagine. Spread the love not only on Valentine’s Day, but every. single. day. of the year!! From my heart to yours, feel the love, spread the love, BE the love!! <3
So this past week, we got blasted with snow. We now have more snow on the ground than I can ever remember having (and we’re only at the beginning of February, so I’m sure we’re in for more…). There are snow mountains everywhere! The temperatures have not been so pleasant lately either… SO, here is a photo of king pigeon pose, on a golf course, on a perfect summer’s day. Memories or warmer times
This picture was taken at a beautiful cottage in the summer. It was very warm and sunny and was the perfect day to practice yoga on the stand-up paddle board. The pose is called sun dial pose (I thought that was quite fitting since it was so sunny). As I get snowed in on this very snowy day, I can’t help but look forward to the return of warmer weather.
