When you have a milestone in your life, it is customary to reflect on your life and achievements.
We are usually in disbelief at how quickly time goes by.
I think we should be grateful for our time whether it be quick or slow.
Don`t waste your thoughts on what could be, but what is ahead of us.
We are so lucky to be here and we must respect our time.
Be joyful, if you are full of regrets why not focus instead on fixing what displeases us.
Change is possible and if we put our energy in fixing ourselves we can be full of excitement at the future.
Life is good when we are good!!

Did you ever have an amazing day only to have a very negative person try to take all of your positive feelings and replace them with anger and bad feelings? It happens a lot and we must acknowledge that this is upsetting and sometimes it takes a long time to rid yourself of the contagious negativity.
But if we are aware of the cycle and try not to be too contaminated, maybe the next time it will take less time to return to our personal bliss.
We cannot avoid some of these negative receptors, but if we can return to our positive receptors as quickly as possible, the contamination of negativity will be wiped away sooner.

Hi everyone out there!
Have you ever worried about someone`s health to the point of it affecting your own?
Have you pleaded with them to make changes?
Have you led by example only to feel it has fallen on deaf ears?
What if we just trusted that person to care enough about themselves to take better care of themselves. Maybe by letting them take charge they will be inspired enough to do what is right for them. By letting go of control you are giving them back their power and trusting them to do what is best. Afterall, it is up to the individual to make those choices. if they ask for help, be by their side but don`t force your opinions.
I have come to the conclusion that one must have more faith in their loved ones and this is a true example of love. This will help you to take better care of your own self. It`s not an easy thing to do, but I think it is worth it!
Do you ever feel enraged abut something?
Is it because you feel helpless and used?
What are some ways to take control of the situation and have some power over circumstances?
Should we just give in, suck it up & take one for the team?
Should we exert our own will at the expense of the other person or should we compromise?
Why does compromise sometimes feel like defeat?
I think it is all in your prespective. Does your defeat help the other person?
Should that be seen as a victory for you?
Are you just being stubborn if you insist on getting the win?
Does it make you feel good or bad?
Sometimes it is really hard to turn the other cheek, sometimes it makes you SEETHE.
IF you can do it with grace you may be on the way to becoming a better person.
Did you watch the Superbowl (or the Halftime show) this past Sunday? What an inspiration Lady Gaga was!
I was completely mezmerized and scared for her when she was on the roof.
She is such a consumate perfformer that she can perform on a roof and we wouldn`t notice a difference from when she`s performing on good ole terra firma!
Then when she took that dive!! I certainly had butterflies in my stomach!
I think thta was the best Superbowl performance ever, at least that I have seen!
The light show was tremendous too, did you know that the lights in the sky were drones?! What a creative use for them!
This morning when I was doing the treadmill, I was so uninspired, but then I thought of Lady Gaga and all she did for her fans. what if she was feeling under the weather, had a cold or even achey muscles? You would never know, she just gave an extraordinary performance!
Thatt is my lesson for the day. Push through and the results will be fantastic!
Another lesson learned, my yogi daughter has been a devoted fan of Lady Gaga`s since the beginning, I would say she has got a great taste in music and role models!
Enjoy your day with confidence and a belief that you can accomplish the impossible!
Do you ever feel like your life is on a treadmil?
As if you are automatically repeating the same routine?
Almost as if you are living groundhog day over and over?
We must pull ourselves out of our rut and strive for something that puts us in the present. Of course, we know that yoga is an excellent wake up call!
We can be so scattered in our thinking or just be on autopilot, so why not try something thta makes you really focus. Something that you really love and it will be like a lightbulb going on and you will see everything brighter and be more joyous. But of course, you must be aware and try not to fall into old patterns. If you focus and make a conscious effort to remain joyful it is worthwhile. We have to respect this beautiful life we`ve been given and not waste it on trivialities.

Have you ever just felt so good that you can`t help but smile?
There may be no particular reason but for a moment or longer you just feel wonderful. What if we could maek that feeling last longer?
I think everyone has a great gift or talent and if you are lucky enough to find it you must try to nurture this gift. If you feel great working on your talent you are probably in sync with the universe. This is why you feel so great and grateful!
Dont`t take your talent for granted. Work on it and you will become more and more sure of yourself. And as you are more sure of yourself, you will be more sure of your part in this world.
This will make you happier, more calm, and smile on the inside and out!

Can you believe Christmasisalready over?
It`s a really fun time of year if you have little ones in your family. They are so enchanting, eyes as big as saucers looking at and playing with all the toys they received.
Everything is decorated and there are still twinkleling lights everywhere. It can also be an exhausting stressful time if you let it. Just try not to become overwhelmed in trying to have everything perfect. Remember to take some time for yourself and to get in your yoga practice. Keep calm and breathe!

Do you ever have days (or weeks) where everyone wants something from you?
If that happens for you, do you feel like you don’t have anything left to give?
How do you make peace with it all without giving away all of your energy?
We all go through these times and I think having a person you trust to talk to and a physical activity like yoga asanas to re-centre yourself is a lifesaver!
We have to try hard to hold onto our personal energy rather than giving it all away.
No matter how much negativity is thrown at us, we must look to the beauty around us, breathe it all in and carry on.
I was just reflecting on how time flies. It is already hot outside and it feels like I just started my garden.
Is there anything nicer than going to a nursery and smelling all of the beautiful fragrant plants? I had geraniums hibernating in the basement all winter, planted them in the spring and they are now in full bloom giving off a beautiful aroma!
The blossoms in the fruit trees have come and gone and now fruit is ripening or ready to bare. All of these things lift my spirits and bring out the inner farmer in me.
There is something about working in the soil, it can be such tough work, but it is so satisfying!
So with this hot weather, don’t forget to water the plants and take care of your own needs as well!
A few yoga classes after gardening will take care of the creaking knees and aching back.
So remember: Keep Supple and Garden on!!
